Major repairs of the Hydrostal stadium in 1963 have been completed in Chekhov, near Moscow. The comprehensive renovation affected basketball and volleyball courts, hockey boxes, mini–football courts, running tracks, outdoor networks, parking lots and lighting. In addition, new stands were built, and the football field was replaced with a heated surface. The multifunctional sports complex will become all-season again.
Octagonal lighting poles of the OGK–9 series with brackets for floodlights were chosen to illuminate the territory. But for lighting the football field, high-mast poles with a mobile crown of one-way lighting of the One-way lighting mast with moving frame “Sail” system series were used. On the moving frame “Sail“, the spotlights are placed on one side without the need to mount counterweights. The movement of the frame is carried out by rails on the trunk of the mast. Thus, two people can handle the maintenance of lighting fixtures, without the involvement of special lifts. The crown descends almost to the ground using a hand-held power tool. Spotlights can also be aimed from the ground. The maintenance–safe design of masts with a moving frame is perfect for sites where it is difficult for special equipment to pass.
