50-meter flagpole on Russian Island

A 50-meter flagpole was installed on the campus of the Far Eastern Federal University (FEFU), located on the largest island of Peter the Great Bay, Russian Island.

The project implemented by AMIRA Group required high professionalism and careful planning. After all, we are not talking about a standard design, but about a 50-meter flagpole capable of withstanding significant wind loads typical of the coastal zone. The flag, with an area of almost 200 square meters, is a serious test for the supporting structure.

To ensure the reliability and durability of the flagpole, the specialists of AMIRA Group applied a proven technology. The sections of the flagpole, made of sheet steel, are connected using a reliable telescopic tensioning connection. This ensures not only the strength of the entire structure, but also makes it easy to carry out installation work.

It is important to note that the dimensions of the flagpole trunk are calculated individually for each project. AMIRA Group of Companies takes into account many factors: wind loads, the size and weight of the flag, the density of its material, and other parameters that affect the stability and safety of the structure. In this case, the calculations were particularly difficult due to the extreme weather conditions inherent in this region.

To protect against corrosion, the flagpole is hot-dip galvanized and painted white. AMIRA Group offers a wide range of colors according to the RAL table, allowing you to implement any design solutions. In this case, the color was chosen in such a way that the flagpole harmoniously fits into the environment of the FEFU campus, without distracting attention from the flag itself.

And, of course, for spectacular visualization, experts have installed a vertical illumination system. In the evening and at night, the flagpole becomes a bright and noticeable element of the landscape, emphasizing the importance and scale of this symbol.

We are glad that we are becoming a part of such significant projects!
