Lighting masts at Kazan Airport

The AMIRA Group of Companies has contributed to the large-scale reconstruction of the apron of Kazan International Airport by implementing a project to install modern lighting. As part of the project, 16 high-mast lighting poles were designed and installed: 12 VMON series poles with a stationary crown and 4 WMO series masts with a mobile crown.  This solution made it possible to create an efficient lighting system that meets the requirements of the airport infrastructure.

The lighting poles of the VMON series, made of high-quality sheet steel by bending using high-precision welding (with one or two longitudinal seams, depending on the height of the mast and the required load), are reliable and durable structures.  The use of sheet steel guarantees high strength with relatively low weight, which simplifies installation and minimizes transportation costs.

The VMO series mobile crown masts are a technological solution, especially valuable for facilities such as airports, where access to floodlights for maintenance may be difficult. Due to its unique design, the crown with installed floodlights smoothly descends almost to ground level using an electromechanical drive, which allows for maintenance work involving only two or three specialists without the involvement of special equipment, such as car towers, significantly reducing downtime and maintenance costs.

Airport lighting design is a complex and complex process that requires consideration of many factors, including flight safety requirements (compliance with international ICAO standards), ergonomic aspects for airport employees (reduction of light pollution, reduction of eye fatigue), as well as aesthetic characteristics (harmonious combination of lighting with the architecture of the terminal building).  The apron lighting system should provide high visibility at night, preventing possible incidents on the ground and ensuring safe movement of ground vehicles.  The use of modern LEDs in floodlights has significantly reduced energy consumption, as well as improved color reproduction, creating a comfortable and safe environment for passengers and staff.  The project also provided for lighting control using an intelligent system that allows you to adjust the brightness and turn on/off individual lighting areas, depending on the need, which allows you to optimize energy consumption and extend the service life of lighting equipment.  We are confident that the implemented project will significantly increase safety and comfort for both airport staff and passengers by creating a modern and efficient apron lighting system at Kazan International Airport.
