AMIRA Company inaugurated a plant in Leningradskaya Region

On June 30, 2015 in Tosno District of Leningradskaya Region a new plant of Megapolis LLC was inaugurated. It manufactures metal structures, lighting supports, towers for power transmission lines and flagpoles. Megapolis plant will operate under import substitution program.

Ceremonial inauguration was personally attended by acting governor Aleksandr Drozdenko and Oleg Betin, Dy. Minister of Construction and Communal Infrastructure of Russia.   It was noted that this plant is the pioneer in the level of technology in the country, and it is able to manufacture the whole range of nomenclature demanded by the market – from 3-meter park lighting poles to 50-meter poles and towers for power transmission lines (PTL). Oleg Betin noted that it was a great present for Leningradskaya Region and the whole country.

Investment in the first stage of construction amounted to 500 mln rubles. The company plans to commission the 2nd stage of the plant with additional investment of 300 mln rubles.

During the inauguration ceremony an agreement between the management of the AMIRA Company and South Korean КMW Inc. was signed. It is related to the partnership in manufacturing of LED lighting fixtures and flood lights.

Many respected guest from far abroad and CIS countries, as well as from all over the country were present. Representatives of such companies as OAO Gazprom, GK Avtodor, OAO RZhD, Russian Ministry of Construction and Communal Infrastructure, OAO Rosseti, as well as Committees of St. Petersburg and Leningradskaya Region Governments.
