Construction of Platov airport is at full speed in Rostov region. Platov airport is located near Cossack village Grushevskaya of Aksai District, 30 km from Rostov-on-Don.
Passenger terminal is planned to have the area of 50,000 sq m with 9 telescopic air stairs. Throughput capacity of the new airport will be 5 mln passengers per year. Platov airport will be opened in December 2017.
Besides, this airport will welcome guests of the World Football Championship in 2018. Rostov affiliate of AMIRA JV, CJSC supplied lighting equipment for the airport land side. 19 lighting towers VMO-20 with flood lights ZhO 08-1000-001 were supplied.
