In summer of 2013 FKU Sevkavupravtodor completed upgrading the section of the federal highway M23 Rostov-Taganrog-Ukranian border between km 24 and 28.
AMIRA Group of Companies and Rostov affiliate of Petrosvet LLC were involved in the arrangement of highway lighting. The affiliate completed electrical works for installation of supports OGK-9, ОGK-10 and lighting fixtures ZhKU 52–250, RKU 52-250.
The project was commissioned ahead of the planned schedule: upgrading started in July 2011, and it was planned that it would be completed in October 2013. However, road builders managed to commission the highway in July. This highway has parameters of the technical category 1b, it is possible to drive along it with the maximum allowable speed. The driveway of the road is increased from 2 to 4 lanes. Besides, according to the design two new traffic junctions were construction on the highway.
Highway M-23 leads to Ukraine. Our country has been establishing more and more close economic and cultural ties with Ukraine. Therefore since recently this highway is considered one of the most important projects.
