In December 2021, the reconstruction of the road leading to the nuclear power plant near Volgodonsk was completed. In two years of work, the roadway was completely renewed, culverts were replaced, communications were rebuilt, substations were installed and lighting was updated. Now residents and guests of the city will use a modern safe four-lane highway.
The lighting of the access road to the Rostov NPP was entrusted to the AMIRA group of companies. More than 300 octagonal conical lighting poles made in St. Petersburg were installed along the renovated road. Lighting poles (OGK series) are one of the most demanded solutions for road lighting. Octagonal conical poles are made of sheet steel by bending, and they are protected from corrosion by a hot layer of zinc.
